Gary Hopkins is a fully licensed Professional Hunter with Class 1 certification in the country of Zimbabwe. This means he is experienced and qualified to hunt all species in Zimbabwe including all dangerous game. He really likes hunting Cape Buffalo, Leopard and Elephant as well as Lion. He is a true gentleman and a hard hunter. He lives with his wife, Crystal  in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe.  I will hunt with Gary anytime. Don Lietzau, hunting consultant . Have many hunts in Africa , and spent 57 days in Zimbabwe and a total of 67 days in Africa last season.  I live in Alaska, near Anchorage, with my Cindy, wife of 30 years.  I live for the hunt and am very serious and expect nothing short of quality hunting. We  give 100% effort to the clients. That's the best we can do and I would expect nothing less.

 

 

Zimbabwe:

Makuti Safari Concession.

Makuti approximately 500.000 acres

 

Both these concessions are bonafied government safari concessions located on the Zambezi Escarpment east of Lake Kariba.  These areas are very good for Elephant, Buffalo Leopard and Sable. Makuti shares border with Mana Pools National Park.  Good lion hunting, Elephant in the 45 to 55 pound range, Cape Buffalo 36 to 42 inches with good boss. Leopard on bait and limited Sable. Various Plains Game, Kudu, Zebra, Eland, Duiker, Warthog, Bush Pig, Small cats, and more. Doma is excellent for Sable in the 37 to 41 inch range. Very good buffalo hunting with bulls 36 to 42 inch expected. Good bosses. Elephant in the 35 to 45 pound range in good numbers. Plains game similar to Makuti can be expected. Lion hunting is not good in this area as they are nomadic and not always available. Both areas are typical bush camp style accommodations.

Both the Doma and Makuti are government safari concessions so no night hunting is allowed. Nuenetsi Ranch area is a cattle ranch in the Loveld of south western Zimbabwe. This area is very good for Leopard on bait as well as with the dogs.  Good quality leopards of heavy weight and large skulls are taken in this area. Hunting can be done at night as necessary. Bait hunts for cats will be primarily at night from the baited blind. Plains game is available but difficult to approach in the heavy brush of the Loveld. Eland, Giraffe, Zebra, Impala, Blue Wildebeest, Warthog are primary Plains Game in this area. Bush camps are used in this area. Nuenetsi Ranch approximately 400,000 acres.

Observer Daily Rates @ $150.00 per day.

Medical Air Rescue Insurance Coverage $5.00 per day and is required to be carried by all hunters and observers.

 

 

 

Terms and Conditions of business

50% deposit of the total daily rate is required to confirm safari hunting dates. The balance of all daily rates must be paid no later than 90 days prior to the safari commencing. All trophy fees will be paid in full on completion of the safari.

 

 

 

Payments

All prices are quotes in US Currency.

All monies must be paid in US Travelers Checks or US Currency. Please note that US Currency commands a 15% tax so Travelers Checks are advised. Visa and MasterCard payments are available on special request and prior arrangement.     

 

Cancellation Policy

Safaris canceled 6 prior to the commencing date will be refunded 100% in full all payments received. Safaris cancelled within 180 days of the commencing of the hunt shall be retained. 80% of the deposit retained can be forwarded to the next season for a future hunt per the client’s request. The client can also appoint another hunter in the event of a cancellation and all deposits will be forwarded to the newly appointed hunter.

 

Liability

While all care is taken to ensure the safety and well being of the client it should be noted that all safari activities are potentially dangerous. World Trek Safari Consultants, LLC and Klipkraal Safaris on any associates and companies cannot be held responsible for any accident, injury, illness or damages incurred.
