Salmon fishing in River Stjørdal, Western Norway. We can choose from two different riverbeats, Østkil and Renå, with som additions smaller beats for varaition; Kjeldbergnes and Voll. All methods; lures, flies and worms. This River is famous for its nive fly-beats, and some very large salmon is landed every year. 2001: 21,5 kg. 2002: 20,5kg. Total catch – 2000: 14,6 metric tonnes, 2001 9,0 metric tonnes. 2002 was not good because of extremly dry weather. June is the month when large salmon is rising, but there are not so many of them. It you are intersted in larger amount of salmon and/or se trout, you should visit us from mid july. The accomodation is very good at both places, enclosed you will find a picture from Østkil. (Pic 1) We will combine the salmon fishing with two days on Trondheim Fjord, fishing for cod, pollock and other species. Please not that salmon fishing here is very exlusive and expensive. The same program in River Namsen at Overhalla in North west Norway can be arranged, this is very large river where we use boats. The most effective method I trailing a fly after a boat. We can combine with sea angling. Namsen are famous for large salmon and great runs – often up to 30 metric tons is caught on rod and reel every year. Please not that salmon fishing here is very exlusive and expensive. June is the time for large salmon. More fish to catch later in the season.
Salmon fishing in River Numedal, Brufoss. 7 kilometers of non-exlusive fishing, and some exlusive beats as well. Only 3 hours drive from Oslo. This river beat alone give up to 4 tonns of salmon every year. The total catch is about 15-20 metric tonns. All methods, also boatfishing. Large pike can be caught at the slower beats. Please note that the fishing in Brufoss starts at the 15h of june. At Brufoss we can arrange accomodation at the camp in small cottages, or a exclusive “US-standard” accomodation in the wood near by. The latter with your own chef and good wines by the fire…. The salmon fishing can be combined with deep sea angling in Langesund, one hours drive away, in a charterboat. Langesund is famous for its ling- and halibut records. Flysfishing for Brown Trout can also be arranged in one of the areas many small lakes. Fishing in River Numedal be both wery expencive and exclusive, and we can arrange “low-end” variants with self households. Picture 3 is the pool at Brufoss, picture 5 is our charterboat at Langesund.

June is a great month for large salmon. But july gives larger amount of “smaller” fish, and the sea trout rises in mid july…
Be aware of the danger for fish disease, all equipment must be desinfected. We will take care og that.
